Students, it has been a privilege to work with you this year to get you prepared for your mission trips! You have done so much work all year long to make this happen – writing letters, making presentations, getting passports, giving support updates, preparing for ministry – all while working on other academic, discipleship, and ministry assignments. I am so proud of the work you have done and it’s so rewarding to see the fruit of that labor. You may not know what your future holds. Specifically, you may not know if you will serve as a full-time missionary. It would be easy to understand if you were to doubt the usefulness of the Missions Reality class if you don’t think you will ever become a missionary. But I assure
you that the experience of prayerfully depending on God for support, humbly asking others to join your team as you share the vision with them for your trip, seeing God come through as your
who serve in missions full time around the world. What an opportunity this experience has given you to do just that as you interact with missionaries the rest of your life! For those of you who
do end up getting more deeply involved in missions, I hope that you will always look back on your trip as the catalyst for how God directed your path. Bottom line, the reality of missions is that we need people to stay and send, and we need people to go to all
