o meaning is plain: To accept Christ ' as a personal Saviour often alienates one’s closest relatives. This experi ence has been proven to be true in hundreds of cases. Often a Christian has more fellowship and understand ing with other Christians not in his own household than he can have with his own sister, or brother, or father or mother simply because the bond in Christ is even more binding and real than are blood-ties. Still-born Babies A re still-born babies saved? W ill l see my baby again? Yes, all infants including still-born babies, including young children who have not yet reached the age of accountability go immediately into the presence of God. (Read Mark 10:14.) Where Are We Going? I hear people telling where they are going before they die. Is it pos sible to know this before death ends all? I know I should not like to have to wait until death comes near to know where I was going. I have known this for a long time, and it is the privilege of every human to know his destiny. John 20:31, reads: “ These [words] are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” In the First Epistle of John he repeats in 5:13: “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” These state ments make doubly sure the eternal life of all who believe, and receive Jesus Christ as Saviour, and of course since we know we have eternal life we know where we are going, and we know that the moment we are absent from this body we are present with the Lord, and we shall be at home with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:8). Jesus reigns in righteousness. Read all of this chapter in Isaiah to see this beautiful prophecy. There were no thrones in Eden, and in that coming day, “ instead of the throne, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree” (Isa. 55:13), which is another beauti ful chapter which is most profitable to read in these days when there is so much of strain and anxiety. The nations of the earth shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more” (Isa. 2:4). “The creation itself also shall be delivered from the bond age of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God” (Rom. 8:21, R.V.). How Did Noah Tell Time? How was time computed in the days of Noah? There is no way whereby we can prove how time was computed in the days of Noah. From every indication we are to understand that the years were the same length as ours. If we read the early records of Genesis cor rectly we are brought to the in escapable conclusion that long life marked many of those who lived in the early centuries of world history. Foes of One's Own Household Please explain Matthew 10:34-36: “ Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man’s foes shall be those of his own household.” The Lord Jesus had been giving the disciples instructions for their ministry. He here is telling them they might expect persecution and hypocrisy and unbelief. Having given them the important statement con cerning the necessity of confessing Him before men, He then quoted the words about which you ask. Taking this passage in its entire setting, and in connection with all Scripture the

Meeting Loved Ones in Heaven Is there any Scriptural warrant for the idea so prevalent that we shall meet our loved ones in heaven? The Scriptures teach that a true child of God goes to heaven immed iately at the time of the dissolution of the body and the soul, and Second Corinthians 5:8 gives us that assur ance. “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” (See Phil. 1:23.) Luke 16:22 tells us that angels re ceive the spirits of departing saints— a comforting thought that they take our spirits home to heaven and into the presence of God. They are our ministers; you know according to Hebrews 1:14 they are “ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation.” They guard us here on earth, and take us to heaven when we die. “ The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and de livered! them” Psa. 34:7. “ For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone” Psa. 91:11,12. Be assured that we shall not know less in heaven than we know here. First Corinthians 13:12, declares that, “now we see through a glass, darkly ; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” We may confidently expect to know every person in heaven, and they will all be our friends and loved ones. The Lion and the Lamb Together Do you believe that it will be lit erally true that the lion and the lamb shall lie down together? Yes, we believe it will be literally true. All ferocity will be taken away from the beasts of the field and forest. There will be peace in the animal kingdom, and peace among men. Read Isaiah 11:9, “ They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” These words from God, as well as many other passages, tell us what to expect when
