Film director Katherine Stenholm has produced a film that has been favorably compared to such Holly­ wood gigantics as “ The Robe.” The large cast (75 speaking parts and 800 extras) was chosen entirely from the personnel of the university. The ex­ tensive outdoor sets were built on the campus (even to damming a brook to make the Sea of Galilee). The in­ terior shots were taken on their own professional sound stage, one of the largest in the country. The elaborate costuming was handled from the wardrobe of the Department of Dra­ matic Production of the School of Speech. Make-up^ sound engineering, production, cinema art and photog­ raphy were all the work of the regu­ lar staff. National showings of “Wine of Morning” start in early April.

T) ecently the Hollywood motion K picture trade magazine Cinema- tographer ran a three-page story on a new Christian film, “Wine of Morning.” Said the magazine: “ This is one of the most ambitious feature- length motion pictures ever under­ taken by a university.” In this case the university is Bob Jones of Green­ ville, S.C. The two-hour color film takes its name and follows very closely the plot of the novel written by Dr. Bob Jones, Jr., president of the univer­ sity. Something new in Christian his­ torical films, the story of “Wine of Morning” centers about Barabbas, the thief who was released to the people by Pilate and upon whose cross Jesus Christ was crucified. The life of Barabbas is an exciting one and the long film, dealing with sus­ pense, intrigue, shipwreck, murder,

The Bible Institute of Los Angeles is happy to announce that Dr. C. A. Landgren, Sr. is now Field Representative in Seattle and Tacoma. Dr. Landgren and his family have been residents of the State of Washington for the past 10 years. A retired dentist, Dr. Landgren is a graduate of the University of Illinois. Over the years Dr. Landgren has been interested in music and has directed choirs in a number of churches. At present he is choir director of the Bible Baptist Church of Auburn where Rev. E. P. Fosmark is pastor. His son, C. A. Landgren, Jr., is active with the Seattle Christian Business Men’s Committee where he has been in charge of their radio broadcasts.
