As far as exercise goes, I have never been one for boring, repetitive routines like going to the gym. I enjoy hockey or walking. It’s easier to stay on track when you do something you enjoy. It doesn’t have to be anything extreme. If you enjoy dancing or want to try it, even a local ballroom dance class can improve your physical health.
As I get older, stretching has become more and more important. People don’t always prioritize stretching, but as a former chiropractor, I saw a lot of folks coming in with tight quads, sore backs, and weak glutes. Stretching keeps us limber and helps us safely complete other forms of physical activity. I have passed on the humor torch to them, preferring to sit back, listen, and chuckle over them. We also love watching funny movies. Of course, thanks to social media, we have an entire library of comedy at our fingertips. I try not to get too lost in Instagram reels, but since I regularly find funny stuff there, the algorithm gives me a steady stream of hilarious posts to keep me laughing. Laughter is healthy. It helps lower stress, boosts the immune system, and even improves breathing. You need also to combine a healthy diet and exercise with
