K. Y. B. Club A Bible Conference in the High Sier ras beside a beautiful lake—challenging messages from the Word of God—and a young woman answered God's call to surrender her life and caught the vision of her responsibility in winning boys and girls to the Lord Jesus Christ. Coming down from the mountain top, this young woman returned to her task of teaching school but with a deep de sire to do more than teach reading, writing and arithmetic. After much prayer, she was led of the Lord to organize a Know Your Bi ble Club for the boys and girls in her community. And how happy this young woman has been in this joyous service.1 K. Y. B. C. meetings are held once a week in a large basement of a church, and during the past two years the aver age attendance has been more than 37. During this time also, 46 of the boys and girls have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour — and ouir heavenly Father’s heart has rejoiced. What is your K. Y. B. Club doing ? Him. And now you will want to obey Him and live as He wants you to live.” * « * That night as Sammy made his way home through the dense forest, the soft breezes seemed to be whispering to him among the trees. Stepping beside a moss-laden cypress, he lifted his eyes to the sky where the stars were twin kling a friendly greeting to him. Off in the . distance he could hear the sleepy twittering of a mocking bird and the tinkling of a banjo. “How peaceful and quiet," he thought. Then placing his hand over his heart, he said, “That’s the way it feels here now.” A Praise Acrostic (J RAISE ye the Lord: for it is good to ■ sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely” (Psa. 147:1). REJOICE evermore” (1 Thess. 5:16). A LL thy works shall praise thee, O ^ Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee” (Psa. 145:10). |T is a good thing to give thanks unto ■ the Lofd, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High” (Psa. 92:1). QERVE the Lord with gladness: come ^ before his presence with singing” (Psa. 100:2). ENTER into his gates with thanksgiv- ™ ing, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto hir-, and bless his name” (Psa. 100:4). The Christian’s Thought Life C hristian L ife S eries * Discussion: Discuss the effect of one’s thoughts upon character and conduct. Some one has said: “ Sow a thought and reap a habit. Sow a habit and reap a character.” Question: What does God’s Word say about the Christian’s thought life? Answer: “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Prov. 23:7). “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if therei be any praise, think on these things” (Phil. 4:8). “ Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if three be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlast ing” (Psa. 139:23, 24). “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of ny heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer” (Psa. 19:14). *For a complete list of Scriptures for memory work in the Christian Life Se ries, see previous copies a f T he K ing ' s B usiness .

of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord’ (Rom. 6:23). ; “Wages are something that have to he paid; so if the wages of sin is death, that means that we should die, doesn’t I t? ” David asked. ¿ “ Yes, Mastah David, and does yo’ mean that I have to die for all the bad things I’se done?” V?;:“No, Sammy, you don't have to die because Someone died in your place.” -1Sammy moved closer to his friend and said, “Who died fo’ me and why?” “It was God’s only Son, Sammy. It was the Lord Jesus Christ, find He died for you because He loveh you too much to see you die. One day He left His home in heaven and came down here to this earth as a little Baby to grow to man hood and then to pay the debt we owed for our sins. After a short time of tell ing people about their heavenly Father, and His plans for them, the Lord Jesus was nailed to a cross where He died that we through His death might have life. Three days later He rose from the dead and lived with His friends on earth for a while. Then He went back to His Father where He is living now. But some day soon He is coming back to earth again to take all His children to heaven to live with Him.” “Are you one of His chillun, Mastah David ?” Z “Yes, I am, Sammy, since just last week at Uncle John’s. I was truly sorry for all the wrong things I had done, and Christ saved me and made me His child.” ♦ “I wish I was one of His chillun be cause I’d sho’ like to go along to heaven, too.” 7. Opening his Testament again, David read: “ ‘But as many as received him, to them gave he power’—that means the right, Sammy—‘to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name’ (John 1:12). “ That’s all you have to do Sammy, to become one of His children. Believe that He died on the cross for your sins and then receive Him into your heart as your yery own Saviour. He then gives you the right to become one of His children. Would you like to do that now?” “ Yes, Mastah David.” : So there on Overhanging Rock the two friends bowed their heads, and Sam my thanked the Lord Jesus for dying for Him and giving Him a new life. As they rose to their feet, Master David put his hand on his little friend’s shoulder. “ Sammy, here’s a verse I want you always to remember: ‘Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.’ “Today on this first' day of a new year, you are a new creature in Christ because He has given you new life in
