In the spring of 2025, we calved out our first set of Gunsmoke daughters, and they exceeded every expectation.These females displayed strong maternal instincts, excellent structure, and beautiful, square udders. Seth came home more than once raving about just how good those Gunsmoke females are—and they proved exactly why investing in the right bulls pays dividends. Beyond Gunsmoke, our entire group of first-calf heifers impressed us. Every heifer that calved a bull put that calf straight into the bull pen—no special treatment, no extra feed— just doing the job we expect of productive, functional females. This year marks our largest bull offering to date, not because we expanded cow numbers, but because we focused on maximizing the potential of what we already have.Through the use of a recipient herd, cows that no longer meet our genetic or phenotypic goals continue to work for us, carrying embryos from our very best donor females.The result is a deeper, more competitive set of bulls backed by elite maternal genetics—giving you more opportunity to find the right fit for your program. This will also be your last opportunity to purchase a direct son of the legendary 103C donor cow.With no embryos remaining and none frozen, once these bulls are gone, that chapter officially closes.While it ended a bit sooner than we anticipated, we are excited to move forward with the strong group of direct daughters that will step in and carry on her legacy. With our AI cows we have been utilizing the technology of Top Genomics and Rightmate. This program analyzes the DNA of a cow and help us mate her to bulls that compliment her DNA best.
