God is a God of do-overs. I love that. He gives us an opportunity with a fresh start every single day. Psalms 118:24 says, “This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Today. This day. It was created by the Lord with a multitude of opportunities to love Him, serve Him and trust Him. When I remind myself in the morning that it is His day, I am comforted that whatever comes my way – good or bad – comes through His loving and perfect plan for me. It frees me to rejoice and worship Him in whatever comes my way. Today is His day. Because it’s His, I say bring it on! I choose to trust Him today and rejoice in all that today brings forth.

Yesterday as I was reading chapter 4 in my favorite Old Testament book, Proverbs, verse 7 grabbed my attention: “Wisdom is supreme; therefore, get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding,”For me, serving as Library Director at WOLBI – and for you as a student at WOLBI – this verse (and others in the first several chapters of Proverbs) challenges us to go beyond getting knowledge from our study of the Bible and give priority to seeking and acquiring wisdom. My prayer constantly is that you and I will take to heart and wisely apply the knowledge that God has privileged us to gain from His Word, both here at WOLBI and for every day after. Will you join me in this prayer?
