Edrick Gil
I was born in a Christian home and my parents were heavily involved in ministry. My mom led me to Christ when I was seven years old, so I had a little bit of Bible knowledge because of that. I wanted to come to the BI because I saw my brother’s life changed here and I wanted to experience that myself. My first year was shocking to me just because I realized how little I knew about the Bible. The classes were amazing and the teachers even more. I developed an interest in the ministry and being involved in the church, so I decided to do second year. Second year blew my expectations even more. The classes got more personal and intentional, the student body grew closer as well as the responsibilities. So far, this has been a year of growth in my life. From excitement through boredom, from joy through sadness, I saw God working in each area of my life. I couldn’t ask for more. It’s been a blessing and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get serious in his walk with the Lord and to dedicate a year of their life to studying the Word of God. What better place to do that then at Word of Life where you get to serve with hands-on ministry and excellent teachers and staff who intentionally try to pour into your life. Even with my two years here, I feel like I’m just scratching the surface of what the Bible teaches. I can’t wait to see what God has planned for each one of the students here.
