“Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.” - Hebrews 12:1
To close the first week of classes at the BI, students were encouraged to gather across campus and cheer on the athletes competing in the Adirondack Marathon. This simple act of kindness ministered to the runners and heightened their spirits, encouraging them on to the finish. Not a single runner passed without being cheered on and shown the love of Christ. At the finishing awards ceremony, Roger Peace had the privilege of meeting a couple who were absolutely raving about how much fun it was to pass through the Bible Institute, and how encouraging and supportive it felt. It goes to show that even the simplest acts of kindness can make an impression for Christ on those around us. We, as servants of Christ, are reminded in the Bible to keep running our own race. For us, it is not a competition against other runners, but it certainly is a glorious struggle. God has set a long course ahead of us, and only He knows when we will reach the finish line to be welcomed into His arms. May we run with endurance.
