The cold December evening seemed to glow, and Christmas spirit hung in the air like ornaments on a tree. Dorm decorations had finally been judged, and everybody was ready for the main event: the Christmas Party! Group by group, students dashed to the Bollback, holiday spirit keeping them warm in the cold winter air. They were greeted by Christmas music drifting through the dining hall; the great Christmas tree adorned with wreaths and ornaments and radiating golden light. Tables were spread with trays of sugar cookies and icing, ready to be decorated. Everybody lined up for the photo booth, snagging props with their friends. The winners of the best-decorated dorm and the Ugly Sweater Contest claimed their prizes. Soon after, there came an announcement: “We’ll be having karaoke in ten minutes!”. Partners and groups lined up right away to ensure their spot. It was a hilarious show of talent. At the end of the night, the students were nestled all snug in their beds, dreaming of Christmas to come with their families and holding on to the fun memories made at the WOLBI Christmas Party.
