The concept for this collection has been a year in the making. I have long wanted to add interaction and light to my sculptures. The amount of research, testing, late nights and technology to learn has been a steep learning curve, but one which I have thoroughly enjoyed. Every piece has to have a microcomputer in the back, which has to be programmed and coded to work with the infra-red sensors and nano LED lights. What I have been trying to achieve has never been done before using this technology so I have had to learn from scratch and make up the rules as I go along.
