From Cottage to Walk In The Park! In the latest season, Walk In The Park became the first since another Grange Stud stallion, Cottage in 1948, to sire the winners of the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Aintree Grand National in a single year.
COTTAGE RAKE (Cottage) with Aubrey Brabazon up is led over the last by Happy Home (also by Cottage) en route to winning the first of his three consecutive Gold Cups in 1948. Happy Home was out of Golden Emblem, a mare Vincent O’Brien’s father had sold to Michael J Magnier (John Magnier’s grandfather)
