Board of Directors Call for Nomination Join our team at SCS We are a Person-Centered Organization serving the needs of children and adults with developmental disabilities Service Coordination Support (SCS) is the initial contact for people who have a developmental disability or children with autism in Ottawa and the Eastern Region (Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Prescott Russell and Renfrew). We help people find available resources in the community that are needed to assist them in their daily lives. We empower families/individuals to make informed choices about the supports they seek. SCS is a not-for-profit bilingual organization managed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We are seeking volunteers from within the Ottawa and Eastern Region. Ideal candidates have demonstrated experience with Board duties and governance issues and exhibit strong leadership and expertise in areas such as: • Not-for-Profit Governance; • Human Resources; • IT / Transformation Management; • Finance. The Board currently has a particular need for members whose first language is French and Indigenous members. Deadline is February 16, 2024 to submit your cover letter and resume.
Nous sommes une organisation centrée sur la personne qui répond aux besoins des enfants et des adultes ayant une déficience intellectuelle Service Coordination Soutien (SCS) est le point de contact initial pour les personnes ayant une déficience intellectuelle ou pour les enfants ayant un trouble du spectre de l’autisme à Ottawa et dans la région de l’Est (les comtés de Stormont, Dundas et Glengarry, de Prescott Russell et de Renfrew). Nous aidons ces personnes à trouver les ressources disponibles dans la collectivité dont elles ont besoin pour les aider dans leurs vies quotidiennes. L’un de nos objectifs importants est d’habiliter les personnes et leurs familles à faire des choix éclairés concernant le soutien qu’elles cherchent. SCS est un organisme bilingue sans but lucratif géré par un conseil d’administration composé de bénévoles. Nous sommes à la recherche de bénévoles de la région d’Ottawa et la région de l’Est. Les candidats idéaux ont une expérience pertinente des fonctions au sein d’un conseil en plus d’avoir fait preuve d’un grand leadership et posséder une solide expérience dans l’un ou plusieurs des domaines suivants : • Gouvernance des organismes sans but lucratif; • Ressources humaines; • Gestion des TI et de la transformation; • Finances Le Conseil a actuellement un besoin important de membres dont la langue maternelle est le français et de membres des communautés autochtones. La date limite est le 16 février 2024 pour soumettre votre lettre de présentation et votre curriculum vitae.
