Pirtek, the UK’s leading supplier of emergency hose replacement and on-site hose repairs, has once again made steps to meet the high expectations that follow its name by adding a new van to the Dumfries and Galloway area. With the former Dumfries centre closing in January 2013, Pirtek’s Kilmarnock and Paisley centres have been covering the area in “acquired access” over the past few years. However due to the need to keep up with customer demand, the company that holds the Investors in People award has administered a Dumfries focused van that will provide accelerated around the clock service. Living up to Pirtek’s promise of top quality service with an ETA 1-hour response, 24 hours a day, 7 day a week. Seeking to push the down time and constantly provide this top-quality service, Pirtek searched extensively to find a Dumfries technician
who is familiar with the town and were unsurprisingly successful. Andrew, a Dumfries local, made this search “worth the wait” due to his lengthy knowledge of the area and an attitude that brims with determination and excitement. Characteristics that Pirtek seeks in all of its employees. Since the start of his employment, Andrew has been given thorough and over seen on-site training with the goal of making his role as successful as all other Pirtek technicians. He will also be attending Pirtek’s national training centre in September to make sure this goal becomes a reality. Along with a technician bound for success, centre manager George Goodell says that the Dumfries van is equipped to handle “any needs a customer might have”.
