CHRIS MCDOUGALL, DPT is a native of Arabi, Louisiana. He earned a bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in May 2005 from LouisianaStateUniversity. Chrisalsoplayed baseball for the LSU Tiger Baseball Team from 2001-2005 where he earned all SEC academic honors. Chris then attended the University of St. Augustine, FL where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy

in August 2008. Chris has been Clinical Director and an Owner of Renew Physical Therapy for more than 10 years. Professionally Chris serves as a pitching coach and Physical Therapist to many athletes ranging from youth athletes to college pitchers. He has trained with multiple MLB teams including the Phillies, Mariners, and Indians to understand proper assessment and rehabilitation of the overhead athlete. His understanding of themusculoskeletal systemas a whole allows forproper treatmentof injuriesand improvingoverallpitching mechanics to prevent further injury. Chris has developed a comprehensive program utilizing Postural Restoration Institute principles to proactively attend to muscular imbalances, deficiencies, and poor movement patterns before injury develops. Chris is a dedicated husband and father to his wife Karlie and their children Landon, Nolan, and Aubrey. Chris enjoys coaching baseball, working out and, hunting with his dog Mack.

HEALTHY RECIPE PUMPKIN PIE OATMEAL

INGREDIENTS • cooking spray, butter or coconut oil • 1 cup steel-cut oats • 2½ cups water • 1½ cups unsweetened almond milk • 1 cup pumpkin • 3 tbsp maple syrup • 1 tsp vanilla • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice • 1/2 tsp cinnamon • ¼ tsp salt

DIRECTIONS Coat your slow cooker with cooking spray, butter or coconut oil. Add all the ingredients into slow cooker and mix well. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. If you have a programmable slow cooker, set it to cook on low for 7 hours and then switch to warm. In the morning, give the oats a good stir as the oats will settle to the bottom.
