boarding Boarding is central to the ethos of the College and the strong Padworth College community provides a home-from-home environment in a beautiful, calm setting. Student welfare is a priority, ensuring there is a balance of academic study alongside recreational and social activities. Through participation in a broad range of co-curricular activities, students develop skills and interests and lifelong friendships.
“Every week we can go on a trip – I love the shopping and the fun activities!”
There are two boys’ boarding houses and one girls’ house on campus. All of the boarding houses have kitchen facilities and common room areas for student use, with a laundry facility close by. The bedrooms are clean, comfortable and furnished to a good standard – almost all of the rooms are singly study bedrooms, offering private space for students, as well as being part of the house family. The Principal and Director of Studies live on site, as well as the residential house staff, all ensuring a high staff ratio and level of supervision. Residential house staff help with any medical needs and provide outstanding care and support with all student requirements. A programme of induction when students join Padworth, involves team building activities and campus orientation tasks – as a result, new students make friends and settle quickly.
“There are no exeat weekends here – it’s so much easier than having to go off campus”
Day students are an integral part of the community who also enjoy the benefits of having time and space to develop their skills, interests and friendships.
