Sons of God (continued) goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord” (Ephesians 5:8-10). Three things are mentioned here about our walk: goodness, righteousness and truth. In the first place we are to be chil dren of goodness. We ought to live that as we pass by, observers will be able to say, “There goes a good man.” Right eousness comes from an old word which simply means that we are to be straight. To use a modern idiom, we ought to be people who are on the “level”, and “up and up”. Then again we are to be children of truth, men and women of integrity. In every situation we should prove that we may be trusted. The result of all this is that we may have the assurance that we are in the will of God. This is what the apostle means when he says, “proving what is the will of the Lord.” The Scripture emphatically teaches us that we are to be sons of God among the sons of men. “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the If you are not receiving copies of the BROADCASTER monthly, you may have them come to your home or office automatically by being a member of the Biola Fellowship. There is no sense in defending the Word of God with our lips if we betray Him with our lives. We are to be blameless. That means we are to be immaculate; ab solutely without spot and beyond re proach. Our lives ought to be open books without deceit or hidden mental reservations which would lead some astray. But mark you well, we are to be this, not among our fellow Chris tians alone, but in a wicked world which surrounds us. Men may not read the Gospel bound in Morocco, however they will read your gospel bound in shoe leather. We are to be epistles known and read of all men; we are to become the illus trated Word. Thus we have the high privilege of walking as the sons of God in the world of men. Are you exer cising this privilege each day? May the Spirit of God awaken us, and em power us to so live for Him.
