Optical extensometry
DefleX ® is a 2D and 3D digital image correlation (DIC) system for teaching students how to measure and analyse full-field displacements and strains over a material’s surface as it undergoes various loading conditions. It is an ideal system for materials science, structural engineering or general mechanical engineering courses. DefleX ® is available on an education licence for 2D (DefleX ® -2D) or 3D (DefleX ® -3D).
