Expert physiatrists at Riley Children’s Health offer medical management to optimize health, function and overall well-being. Our skilled team provides structured therapy programs designed to maximize children’s function and mobility so they can participate more fully in activities. PHYSICAL MEDICINE AND REHABILITATION

Specialized programs Spina Bifida Program and Cerebral Palsy Program Using a multidisciplinary approach, these programs offer a variety of ancillary services, including dietary support, orthotics, and a wheelchair and car seat specialist. The programs are staffed by several specialties to achieve care coordination. Our Cerebral Palsy Program is the only one of its kind in Indiana. Our Spina Bifida Program is one of the largest in the nation. We participate in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Spina Bifida Patient Registry. Traumatic Brain Injury and Concussion Program This comprehensive program delivers multispecialty care coordination to meet the unique needs of patients with traumatic brain injuries and concussions. Brachial Plexus Program Interdisciplinary team provides comprehensive treatment for brachial plexus injuries. Movement Disorders Program Using surgical and nonsurgical approaches, this program provides complete treatment for complex hypertonia.

The inpatient rehabilitation unit at Riley Children’s is accredited by CARF International , an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services.

printing, to create equipment parts that will promote function and safety for our patients. Our pediatric inpatient rehabilitation unit served 127 patients in 2022.
