Our teams haul bulk freight and are supported by a 24/7 Operations Control Centre with real time tracking reducing delays and operating costs, while increasing track capacity, customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness. From construction materials to specialist chemicals and petrochemicals, we move bulk goods across the UK through our comprehensive freight services. We operate Infrastructure Monitoring trains and Rail Head Treatment Trains nationwide, keeping the UK rail network safe for passengers and freight services. Beyond getting freight to where it needs to be - safely and on time - We’re constantly pushing our freight services forward, achieving over 99% service delivery performance in the last 5 years.
Carbon Conscious Recent trials include the introduction of more sustainable methods, such as hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), FuelActive technology, Sulnox Eco fuel additives and solid oxide fuel cells. Our Freight division have seen a reduction in its carbon emissions by 54 tonnes after using 20,000 litres of HVO fuel during the trial period.
