Colas the Future of Rail

Graduate Training Programmes Our Graduate Programmes have a strong track record of nurturing tomorrow’s leaders – in fact, 25% of our current Rail Infrastructure leaders have been through one of our graduate schemes. We currently provide three main graduate routes of entry:

Apprenticeship Programmes

• Future Project Management Programme – developing skills towards becoming a Chartered Project Manager • Commercial Graduate Programme – developing skills towards becoming a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (QS) • Engineering Graduate Programme – working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer

“As the programmes’ first graduate, I feel immense pride in reflecting where we’ve been, the contracts and schemes delivered, and also how the business has grown.” WILL BRYANT, DEPUTY ALLIANCE DIRECTOR FOR COLAS RAIL UK

Harnessing ex-Armed Forces talent With safety as our number one priority, we believe the transferable skills of the Armed Forces service are invaluable to our work. We welcome currently serving, reserve, or veterans of the Armed Forces to join our dedicated, highly skilled workforce. We work closely with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), The Ministry of Defence’s official providers of Armed Forces Resettlement, and The Poppy Factory, the country’s leading employment charity for veterans with health conditions or impairments. We’re also partnered with The Forces Transition Group, the industry leader in military transitioning. • Chartered Manager - Level 6 • Project Management - Level 6 • Quantity Surveyor - Level 6 • Engineering (discipline specific) - Level 6 Our Apprenticeship Programmes are crucial as we close the rail skills gap and build the future of our industry. They combine off-the-job training at a college, university or training provider with bespoke on-the-job mentorship and experience. Our apprenticeship programmes include: • Rail Engineering Technician - Level 3 • Business Administration - Level 3
