The General Education Core for the Certificate:
Area I: Written Composition I and II.............................................................. 3 – 6 Credit Hours ENG101 should be selected for students in degree eligible programs. COM 100 may be selected only in non-degree eligible programs.
Area II: Humanities and Fine Arts.................................................................. 0 – 6 Credit Hours SPH 106 should be selected for students in degree eligible programs. SPC 103 may be selected only in non-degree eligible programs.
Area III: Natural Science and Mathematics .................................................... 3 - 7 Credit Hours
Choose MTH course prescribed by program. MAH 101 may be selected only in non-degree eligible programs.
Area IV: History, Social, and Behavioral Sciences................................................. 0 Credit Hours
Areas I – IV General Education Requirements ................................................. 6 – 19 Credit Hours
Area V: Technical Core, Technical Concentration, and Electives ................... 11 – 54 Credit Hours Must complete 1 semester hour in Orientation (ORT 111 or ORI 101).* Courses appropriate to the degree requirements, occupational or technical specialty requirements, core courses, and electives.
* Orientation will be waived for students who have earned an Associate Degree or higher.
