Experience and Interests Caroline most recently worked as a legal intern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of California. Last fall, she was an extern at the Atlanta Legal Aid Society. Before her time at Emory, Caroline worked as an Operations Manager at TOPOS Architects. Between 2018 to 2020, Caroline served as an English Literacy Facilitator with the Peace Corps in Pangai, Kingdom of Tonga. She's also held positions as a seasonal science teacher at Destination Science and a ski instructor at Kirkwood Mountain Resort. Caroline has a talent for learning languages. She's fluent in French; intermediate in Tongan, Spanish and Hungarian; and beginning in Catalan. In her spare time, Caroline enjoys baking, traveling, and volunteering.

Experience and Interests Josh began his legal career in Canberra, Australia. He held positions as a Junior Lawyer at the Department of Health and a Research Assistant and Paralegal at Legal Aid ACT. He relocated to the Chicago area to pursue his J.D. In 2021, he held positions as a research assistant in international law and a research/administrative assistant for the business law clinic at Loyola. Last spring, he worked as a Law Clerk at Fuksa Khorshid LLC. He most recently worked as a law clerk for Baker McKenzie's immigration practice. In his spare time, Josh likes discovering new restaurants in the Chicago area, playing football for the Chicago Swans, traveling, and dog sitting for family and friends.

Experience and Interests Madison most recently served as a Judicial Extern on the Circuit Court of Cook County - Chancery Division. Last summer, she worked as a Law Clerk at Nielsen Zehe & Antas. Madison is passionate about rescuing and caring for animals. As a first-year law student, she worked as a pet caretaker for 75 clients. During her time as an undergraduate student at the University of Alabama, Madison was a peer coach for freshman and senior students. She also had the opportunity to participate in the Donald J. Weidner Summer for Undergraduate Program, a 4-week pre-law program.

Her interests include baking, cooking, trying new restaurants, and traveling.

While in law school, Elen has held two research assistant positions with Professor Carlos Berdejo and Professor Jeffrey Atik. She spent her 1L summer as a judicial extern for the Honorable Sandra Klein at the United State Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California. Elen is fluent in Armenian. Her interests include cooking, baking, traveling, hiking, reading, going to the gym, and spending time with her dog.

Prior to law school, he was a Paralegal at Cader Adams Trial Lawyers. Tomas has also held positions as a Legal Assistant at Cappello & Noel LLP, a judicial intern for Judge Brian Hill at the Santa Barbara Superior Courthouse, and a summer intern at the LA County District Attorney. Tomas is fluent in Polish and conversational in Spanish. He enjoys playing chess and board games, backpacking, hiking, camping, and football. His interests include history, politics, philosophy and astronomy.

She later transitioned to a Legal Assistant position at the Law Office of Shamika Askew in Florida, where she worked up until beginning law school. During her 1L summer, Yasmin worked as a Legal Intern at Voya Investment Management, LLC. Her legal experience led her to obtain a clerkship at Maltech Law. Yasmin enjoys watching and participating in musicals. While in middle school and high school, she discovered her passion for theater tech and stage management. This hobby has evolved into a hobby of watching musicals with friends.

While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Aria held roles as an Administrative Assistant at the Office of Professional Preparation and Accreditation (OPPA) and as a legislative intern for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. Aria is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. Her interests include cinema, playing tennis, and traveling.

Ashleigh’s hobbies include gardening, traveling, hiking, yoga, bar trivia, walking her dog, and spending time with her family.
