my hash dabs. I’ve paused my donations on GoFundMe because we got enough to cover my wages, to pay for was le of my balances, and cover the next round of visits aer insurance. If aer the six months the doc wants me to do this new approach, I am still in need of surgery, we can re-open it and do whatever must be done. I don’t want to burden my community in these trying times with more if I don’t need to. is is the rst time I’ve asked for personal monetary help, and everyone has been so generous and kind. I have been lucky to have been showered with love by this community, some of my fellow creators, growers, hash makers, and close friends who have been by my side since day one. And of course, I could not have done this without the help and support of my wife, my Beans (dog), and some family members. Hash is a magical thing. It’s fun, interesting to study, it’s medicine, it’s comfort, it’s a mental health break. It has been the dierence to my recovery in peace, and has helped me keep this ght going. I love to see hash makers work and bring terps to a jar. From my favorite fruity and creamy terps, to the gassy terps that help me sleep, I love deep diving into hash ights. I came into the modern hash world thanks to Puco. I remember seeing Roger with a Proxy and a butter-like scoop of the most delicious thing I had ever seen, and I just got up and went to buy one. at was exactly 4 years ago. anks to this and how hash changed me, I currently work making content for Puco, and would not trade my expe- rience for anything. I had been smoking ower since I was 16, and lived through a period of my life where ower gave me anxiety every time, and hash xed that on the rst day. And now I can enjoy ower like I used to. I have dedicated these years to hunting jars, nding makers who elevate the cra, comparing blends, comparing phenos, but most of all, get- ting to build a new community that I can care for, just like my music community. And even though we’re not fully there yet, we get to enjoy most of these things in public now, with much less stigma. is journey has brought so many amazing people into my life. All I can say is thank you! I have some new projects in the works that will focus on cannabis and how we can further push the hash agenda, all while focusing on the things that unite us. With everything dark going on in this world, this community understands more than most what we must do in front of oppression and adversity. Love, unity, and community.
You might not know the name Fernando Ufret, Puerto Rican-born musician and versatile flamenco guitarist, but you might definitely recognize the social media personality for his viral "Cartman Sings" impressions. The former HT Cup judge and avid cannabis lover was surprised in November with a medical issue that has greatly affected his life. Here is his update to fans: My ocial diagnosis is Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension. It happens when cerebral spinal uid builds up in the brain and can’t be properly drained. Idiopathic means it’s not genetic, I’m not pre-disposed to it, and just means it can just hap- pen to anyone. Basically, all this uid pressures the so tissue, some nerves, and blood some vessels. It aected my ears and gave me pulsating tinnitus (I could hear my heartbeat inside my ear canal), it aected my sinuses making it feel like I was more congested than usual, and it crushed and thinned out my two transverse sinus veins, skyrocketing my pressure. e Neurosurgeon, via catheter through the femoral artery, placed a blood vessel long stent in my right transverse sinus vein and reopened it. Since this procedure requires blood thinners and anti-platelet therapy, there is very little room for pain meds. I have a brand new found respect for Tylenol, and of course, cannabis has been my main pain relief. During my rst weeks I could not cough or sneeze without feeling like I was being stabbed in the brain. Bit by bit I started with a Volcano bag that minimized the coughing with ower vape, until I graduated back to my Puco Peak Pro for FERNANDO UFRET LIVES @fernanufret
