hen Tom Elieff first stepped onto the Ann & Nate Levine Academy campus in 2014, he brought with him decades of experience and a passion for innovative education. Today, as Head of School, his leadership has shaped Levine into a dynamic, forward-thinking school rooted in Jewish values and academic excellence. During this year’s Gala, Tom will be honored for his 12 years of commitment to Levine as Head of School before he retires next summer. During his time here, Tom led with a vision that transformed a school and a community. Tom’s journey began in Chicago at Lake Forest Academy where he spent 15 formative years as a teacher, administrator and eventually interim headmaster. His career then took him to St. Mark’s School in Dallas as Head of Upper School, followed by leadership roles in Seattle and Houston at Jewish day schools. Each chapter taught him invaluable lessons about leading teams, strategic vision and the power of community. In 2013, a visit from Levine’s Board President, Chuck Butler, sparked a conversation that changed everything. “I wasn’t looking to move,” Tom said. “But their commitment to growth and excellence inspired me.” By 2014, he was leading Levine with a clear mission to evolve the school academically while honoring its Jewish traditions.
