ICPF Celebrates Successful First Holiday Weekend In Washington, D.C The International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF) wrapped up its very first Holiday Weekend in Washington, D.C., celebrating the holiday season while supporting the foundation’s mission to grow the workforce of the corru- gated packaging industry through education, outreach, and strategic initiatives. A total of 70 attendees joined ICPF from across the country for three days of festive activities, networking, and engagement with industry leaders. The weekend began on Friday, December 12, with a reception sponsored by Pratt Industries at the Hotel Washington’s Sky Room, of- fering stunning views of the city and the Washington Mon- ument.
On Saturday, participants attended a matinee of the classic holiday performance A Christmas Carol at histor- ic Ford’s Theatre, sponsored by BW Papersystems. That ICPF President Caitlin Salaverria welcomes attendees to the first Holiday Weekend in Washington, D.C.
evening, attendees gathered for a cock- tail reception sponsored by Fosber Amer- ica, followed by a celebratory dinner at The Henri, a modern bistro just minutes from the hotel, sponsored by Bobst North America. Additional event sponsors includ-
ed Green Bay Packaging, Hood Container Corporation, and Smurfit WestRock. ICPF partnered with The Riggs Wash- ington DC, a fully restored boutique hotel in Penn Quarter, for the event. Originally built in 1891 as the headquarters for Riggs National Bank—known as the “Bank of Presidents”—the hotel provided a perfect blend of historic charm and modern ame- Matt Davis, President of Packaging Express, with his wife, Maggie.
