About Leo Hussain, Conductor During the 2025/26 season, conductor Leo Hussain ’s engagements have included Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Saul for the Semperoper Dresden, Mitridate, re di Ponto and Weinberg’s The Passenger for the Oper Frankfurt, and concerts with the Opéra Orchestre national Montpellier and George Enescu Philharmonic. Previous opera highlights include Die Zauberflöte at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Eugene Onegin for the Bayerische Staatsoper, Capriccio for the Santa Fe Opera, Tosca for the San Francisco Opera and The Rape of Lucretia for the Glyndebourne Festival. He has also appeared with the Hamburgische Staatsoper, and at the Theater an der Wien and Staatstheater Hannover, as well as with the English, Welsh, Gothenburg, Norwegian and Royal Swedish national operas.
