This year at the Skillbuild 2025 National Final, our apprentices delivered an exceptional performance in the Dry Lining category - with over 60 competitors starting across the regions, we were delighted to sweep the podium with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. This achievement stands as a testament to the hard work, dedication and craftsmanship of our young people, as well as the commitment of the training teams who supported and guided them every step of the way. Illan Callaghan secured 1st place, Zach Weightman earned 2nd place, and Bradley Gorman achieved 3rd place. “Winning 1 place in the UK National Skill build final has been a huge honour for me. As an apprentice I have learned so much from the people around me – the guidance, support and high standards of Errigal have helped me shape not just my skills but my confidence as well. In 2025 I faced a period of illness and missed some time off work. Coming back after this wasn’t easy but I feel this award shows how much is possible with determination. It feels like recognition of the hard work and effort I have demonstrated every day on site, and it motivates me to continue improving, take pride in my trade, and represent Errigal as I build my future in Construction.” st Illan Callaghan - Errigal Apprentice

“The apprentices enthusiasm and dedication contribute greatly to Errigal’s exceptional social values. Not only are they investing in their own training and career development, but they are also giving back - supporting their local communities and playing an active role in mentoring the next generation of apprentices.” Sheena Woods - Training Manager, Errigal Group
