Meadhbh McCormick completed her MSc in Environmental Health and Sustainability at Ulster University, Belfast. The course strongly supported her in her role as an EHS Officer, helping her understand safety, the environment, and regulations on a deeper level. “I gained greater confidence in my work-related decisions and now I feel better prepared to manage the day-to-day challenges of the job.”
The Climate Change Master's Degree sparked Cameron Wilson’s interest as it tackles one of the most urgent issues shaping our world. He completed his Master’s at Queen's University, where the course explored the science behind climate impacts. “I'm delighted to have graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a Master's Degree and I'm excited to bring what I've learned into practical sustainability work.”
Orlaith McCloskey, one of our 2025 graduates, received the Best Research Paper Award at the Ulster University Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management Awards Ceremony 2025 in June. Her dissertation was selected from 10 shortlisted students, marking a well-deserved recognition of her hard work and research. “Collecting this award after 6 years felt like a great accomplishment. Being able to balance work and studies and showcase my knowledge of experience from the past years has been a huge highlight.”
Deena Kumari received her PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification in October. This certification is a globally recognised credential that demonstrates her expertise in project management methodologies, strategic planning, and effective execution of projects. “This achievement will help me in my current role as a planner and help my ability to lead projects successfully, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard.”
Sophie Meeke, a placement student at Errigal, was awarded 3rd place at the Placement Awards 2025 hosted by Ulster University Business School. Out of over 300 placement students, only 25 were shortlisted. The award recognises her professionalism, impact during her placement, and the quality of her work. “My placement gave me valuable experience and helped me understand my studies in greater depth. With the support of my university lecturers, I am completing my final year alongside work at Errigal to strengthen my degree and prepare for the future. I enjoy coming to work every day and value the friendships I’ve made.”
