Provincial regulations require review and revision of OPs every five years. The new draft OP, which may affect future development proposals for all Prescott-Russell municipalities, will be ready in May for UCPR council to consider for approval. – Gregg Chamberlain

Lan- glois, avec effet immédiat, et le versement de 2 105 959,82 $ au fonds d’indemnisation du Barreau de l’Ontario, soit le montant que le fonds a versé à 11 clients. Il a également été condamné à payer 32 200$ de frais sur cinq ans, à compter d’un an après la date de la décision. M. Langlois n’était ni présent ni repré- senté au tribunal lors de la décision. On croit que sa dernière adresse connue se trouve en République dominicaine. Il fait toujours l’objet d’une enquête cri- minelle de la Police provinciale de l’Ontario. Le cabinet d’avocats où il travaillait a depuis révoqué son adhésion au groupe et s’est rebaptisé Charron, Pilon et Sauvé. Le cabinet a fait des efforts pour aider les anciens clients de Langlois.
Le Barreau de l’Ontario a révoqué le permis d’un avocat de Rockland pour avoir détourné l’argent de clients. Dans une décision rendue le 19 mars, un tribunal de l’Association du Barreau de l’Ontario a établi que Stéphane Langlois a eu une «conduite non professionnelle» lorsqu’il a détourné environ 3,1 millions de dollars des comptes en fiducie de clients de Charron, Langlois LLP alors qu’il était membre du cabinet juridique de Rockland. L’action concernait les comptes en fiducie mixte de deux clients du cabinet et a eu lieu entre janvier 2015 et aout 2016. Le tribunal a également conclu que M. Langlois, lorsqu’il travaillait pour le cabinet, a pris environ 35 000$ de plus que la rémunération permise à titre de fiduciaire de succession entre
