EFFECTIVE MEETINGS FOR ACTIVISTS Participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to facilitate successful, interactive, and productive union meetings. In this session, the tutor will: · Outline the components of a meeting agenda. · Describe different considerations for the meeting environment(e.g. room layouts). · Identify important facilitation skills for meetings. · Explain strategies for encouraging participation in meetings. · Practice methods for coping with presentation anxiety. · Identify strategies for effectively working with challenging personalities in meetings. · Describe ways you can handle conflict in meetings. · Explain strategies for calling union members to action following a meeting. NEURODIVERSITY AT WORK: SUPPORTING YOURSELF AND ADVOCATING FOR WHAT YOU NEED This session is designed to empower neurodivergent members to better understand their own needs, strengths, and rights in the workplace. Together, we’ll explore practical ways to support your wellbeing, communicate what helps you thrive, and advocate for neuroaffirming approaches with colleagues and employers. Through reflection, discussion, and real-world examples, you’ll gain confidence in shaping a work environment that values your unique perspective and allows you to succeed on your own terms.
