HELPING AUTISTIC CHILDREN FIND THEIR VOICE This training discusses the myriad ways in which you can support students with little or no communication skills using a range of communication modalities such as PECS, Speech, AAC and Makaton. We will explore your role as a Classroom Assistant and communicative partner in capturing and creating natural communication opportunities across the school day, simple but effective strategies to support functional communication, and how to overcome some of the hurdles your student may face when developing their communication skills.
