The session will cover: • An introduction to the chain of infection

Participants will have a greater understanding of the impact of mental ill health on businesses, common conditions, preventive strategies, employers’ obligations and how to provide support to employees and other colleagues who may be affected

• Standard IPC precautions and how they reduce nosocomial transmission • Transmission-based precautions • The role of the environment in the transmission of infection Delivered by Naomi McClughan, Infection and Control Nurse
