Member Learning Courses JUNE 2026
DIGNITY IN HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE The promotion of dignity is at the heart of all health and social care practice. When systems fail, the violation of dignity is a primary outcome. Despite its importance, dignity is a poorly understood concept. This half-day workshop aims to enable participants to understand what the promotion of dignity means in practice. They will be able to identify the factors that underpin dignity and will gain an understanding of the interconnection between dignity and human rights. The training is suitable for anyone working in the health and social care sector. It is also useful to people interested in pursuing further education or careers in nursing, social work and other allied health professions. Delivered by Dr Una Lynch A registered Public Health Nurse for over 30 years, she has an MSc from Trinity College Dublin and a Doctorate in Governance from Queen’s University, Belfast.
