Member Learning Courses NOVEMBER 2026

DEMENTIA: PART 2 SUPPORTING PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA TO FEEL SAFE & LIVE WELL This workshop builds on a previous workshop, Dementia: Part 1 - An Introduction. To maximise learning for all participants, completion of Part 1 is strongly encouraged before completing Part 2. Supporting people with dementia to feel safe and live well, the course aims to help participants gain a better understanding of how dementia can impact people’s ability to engage with and make sense of the world around them. This full-day workshop includes activities that enable participants to experience some of the challenges associated with sensory impairment and focus on how design, colours and textures can be used to create environments where people with dementia feel safer and more confident. This workshop is ideal for members seeking to understand dementia, those with a family member or friend with dementia, and healthcare professionals caring for people with dementia. Delivered by Dr Una Lynch A registered Public Health Nurse for over 30 years, she has an MSc from Trinity College Dublin and a Doctorate in Governance from Queen’s University, Belfast.
