WINNER

Not counting the major award winners, no one had more success than The Cove Tasmania at this year’s Awards For Excellence. The picturesque property – located on the outskirts of Devonport with sweeping views across the Bass Strait – highlighted not only its diverse range of offerings but was also recognised for efforts in environmentally friendly practices and marketing. The Cove took home gold in the Superior Accommodation category, and was also crowned the winner as Best Marketed Business and Velioa’s Best Environment and Recycling Practice. Throw in a silver in the Deluxe Accommodation category behind Saffire Freycinet and The Tasman, and it was a hugely successful evening for owner Kim Robinson, who runs the business with partner Bruce. “We are really proud, the whole team are proud. We’ve got something special in a special location,” Kim said.
