We have some big news: Buddy the Elf was right. Santa’s coming! Santa’s coming to downtown Pensacola! He’ll be taking time out of his busy holiday schedule, now until Christmas Eve, to make wishes come true and pose for pictures with your littles. Santa’s Photo Party takes place at — where else? — Santa Plaza, in front of the Escambia County Building. Reindeer games and hot cocoa will keep everyone warm. Fifty thousand spectators watching, 90 floats walking, eight bands a-drummin’ ... it’s the Cox Pensacola Christmas Parade ! Bring the family downtown on Dec. 9 to watch the fun march by. An appearance by the Blue Angels is sure to be an extra delight.
Lace up your shoes before the parade and make a run for it, because the Pensacola Runners Association is putting on the Christmas Dash Mile . The 1.2- mile run takes you through downtown Pensacola in all its festive glory. A great way to warm up before the parade! If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to welcome a new fur baby to the family, we’ve found it: Santa’s Puppy Party . Yes, this event is exactly what it sounds like. On Dec. 2, The Escambia County Animal shelter is bringing puppies to Winterfest. Parents be warned: those adorable puppy faces will be impossible to say no to, so don’t bring the kids unless you plan on bringing home a new friend.
