ONLINE TRAINING

NOW COULD BE YOUR BEST CHANCE TO LOOK AT SOME COURSES YOU’VE BEEN PUTTING OFF... Taking trainingonline

I n the face of extraordinary circumstances across the world, our industry has pulled together to support each other more than ever. A prime example of this is global water treatment manufacturer and magnetic filtration pioneer, ADEY, who has launched free online training sessions for plumbing and heating installers. Adapting existing in-person training sessions to webinar-based courses was already in progress, but the UK-wide lockdown has pushed the concept forward in just a week. Colin Yearp, Senior Technical Trainer at ADEY, comments: “It’s a digital age, and while lots of our customers love the in-person training we offer through our 17 training centres, just as many were calling for online courses to help them fit in their professional development.” The first

webinar session went live on April 2, and within the first two weeks the company has delivered online training to more than 600 installers. One of the first to take part in an ADEY webinar was Krisztian Winkler fromWinkler Heating, who praised the experience: “The webinars are great and very useful. The session on chemicals explained clearly what biocides are for and where to use them, and the fact that the MC3+ cleaner doesn’t foam made me realise I have been using the wrong product for cleaning systems and plates. The training has answered so many questions - essential information for everyone who really wants to know their stuff.” T: +44 (0)1242 546 700 E: info@adey.com www.adey.com/training

AN ONLINE COMMUNITY DESIGNED JUST FOR INSTALLERS... Digital help for heating heroes

D anfoss is on a mission to make life easier for heating professionals everywhere by kicking off a new digital series of training and entertainment activities on the #InstallerLife website. Those who sign up will get free access to the latest webinar trainings, digital tools, apps, industry updates, competitions, YouTube videos and much more. This website is an excellent way to stay connected with an extensive industry community and to use some extra time at home to learn new skills and develop those you already have. Danfoss launched the first version of the website for #InstallerLife in September 2019, and invited installers to give it a try and provide feedback. The primary goal was to provide an easier route for installers to solve any queries on product selection and to get ‘how-to assistance’ when out on a job. The #InstallerLife universe has since expanded with a suite of improved

features to support installers at home during lockdowns across the world. Gareth Ash, Marketing Manager at Danfoss, explains: “Besides offering an exciting new digital training section on the #InstallerLife website, we would like to give heating professionals an opportunity to enjoy entertainment,

games and great craftsmanship at work or from home. Even though times are tough, we would like to do our best from Danfoss to make #InstallerLife a little easier and joyful. We hope to see a lot of UK installers joining the Home of Heating Professionals.” www.installer.danfoss.com
