That’s how I run everything.” The second key to the podcast’s success was Trang took big swings when it came to booking guests right away. Sometimes podcasts will try to build an audience and go after big name guests once they are established. Doing the opposite allowed Trang’s podcast to become well known much faster. “I was intentionally finding people with a big microphone to come on the show,” he said. “I want to say it’s the content, but if we are talking about why it grew, it’s because reading as many books.
