A . Any answer to that could not be absolute. There is no indication in Scripture that Adam and Eve had children before the fall. If they had, what happened to them? In the 15th chapter, our Lord is giv­ ing a parable as to what happens in nature and in life. This is absolutely true in horticulture. If a branch is dead, it won’t bear fruit, even if it appears to be a part of the tree. Christ says, “If a man abide not in Me.” This shows that the individual never did have life. Notice that men are the ones who gather the dead branches for the burning. The world makes its evaluation, passing judg­ ment on such a person. So, this pas­ sage, instead of contradicting all 26
