One material, three methods — chosen by structure, programme and budget. Each carries the same layered strata; they differ in how the earth arrives at the wall.
01 · In-situ rammed earth Tamped in lifts between formwork, on site. Monolithic and load-bearing — the wall is the structure. UAE Pavilion.
02 · Precast panels
Rammed off-site as panels, craned into place. The strata of in-situ, with factory tolerance and programme certainty. Conmarble panel.
03 · Rammed earth plaster The Clayworks Rammed Earth Finish — strata applied by trowel, without formwork or mass. MUD\WTR Gather, Santa Monica.
