he world seems to be on the brink of catastrophe. War in Ukraine and increased tensions around Taiwan prompt fears of World War III. Growing dissension in the U.S. sparks discussion of a new civil war or peaceful divorce at home. The recent pandemic has disrupted societies globally. We are in turmoil and uncertainty for the future is the norm. T
In their 1997 book “The Fourth Turning,” William Strauss and Neil Howe predict a crisis. They demonstrate through history that every 80-100 years there is a major upheaval and noted that the next one is due sometime between 2005 and 2025. Today, they seem prescient. If their analysis is correct, however, we can expect our situation to get worse
before it gets better as we descend into a major global crisis.
