I think it’s something our industry has actually become extremely adept at now, and it’s what is going to get shops through the next year or so because customer habits are undoubtedly on the turn. Consumers are cutting back on the frequency that they eat out and how much they spend when they do eat out, but it’s important to also remember that those social habits are still there. People do still want to eat out or order in a takeaway and are cutting back on other things too in order to do so. Even though it might now be a twice-a-month treat rather than once-a-week.
