VCI DRAMA CLUB PRESENTS ‘SCROOGE!’
Hill after several delays because of weather and other factors. The Drama Club at Vankleek Hill Institude (VKI) finally presented their production, ‘Scrooge!’, on Friday, Dec. 12. The school auditorium was almost filled up with students, staff, and some parents eager to see the VCI Drama Club’s interpreta- tion of the Dickens’ classic, following a script by Gary Peterson. The familiar story of “the meanest man in London Town” repenting of his miserly ways and rediscovering both the joy of Christmas and his own humanity received loud applause. Theaudience itself became part of the show, serving as the corridors of time and space through which the Three Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future led &CFOF[FS 4DSPPHF CZ UIF IBOE UISPVHI his journey of rediscovery, reflection and recrimination.

Ebenezer Scrooge (James Labelle-Lalonde), thanks to the Ghosts of Christmas Yet To Be (Rikki Coderre and Lola Timm-Sabourin), listens in on several merchants at the Stock Exchange discussing and mocking the recent death of someone they knew well.
