“Once you are a part of the Door of Hope family, you are always family.” Wendi and her children moved into Door of Hope when the end of her marriage resulted in homelessness. After receiving therapy, financial counseling, and life skills training, she graduated to permanent housing where she has lived for the past 17 years. Today, Wendi is Door of Hope’s Alumni Case Manager, as no one is more qualified to support our alumni than someone who has walked in their shoes. She has found many ways to give back, including teaching Bible studies for residents, speaking at events, and becoming the first alumni to serve on our Board.
