The grille is much more than just a pretty face. It has other components that never seem to be there but they are very necessary for form and function. We hope to clear up a little of the mystery surrounding the radiator shell apron – Ford Part Number 8240 . The first thing is that they are all black so they blend in with the radiator and do not detract from the grille. 1933-39 Ford Passenger APRON RADIATOR SHELL
40-8240 1933-1934 PASSENGER
Bolts in the bottom of the grille with the fenders and forms a scoop to direct the air into the radiator. It has a tunnel and a slot for the wind-up crank. NOTE: We make this as a smooth style without the crank hole. 40-8240-S $65.00 each
48-8240 1935 PASSENGER
By ’35 grilles were getting bigger and so was the panel. Louvers were added to aid in aerodynamics and give a little air to the bottom of the engine. $125.00 each
