1937 CAR HOOD The Flash Gordon era begins as ’37 was the first year of the modern, conventional hood being latched at the nose and hinged at the cowl. The sleek hood sides now had 8 horizontal vents surrounded by stainless trim and could be easily detached, but all basic engine maintenance could be done from above.

This small rubber bumper is included in the hood kit. It plugs in the top edge of removable hood sides and when the hood is closed, it rests on it.
These (8) rubber sleeves fit on each of the metal tabs on the fender aprons. It keeps the hood sides in place and protects the pain.
