The 1938 was the first year of a very distinct difference between Standard and Deluxe. Notice the similarity between the Standard and a 1937. Then looking ahead, notice how the ’38 Deluxe becomes the basis for the Standard of 1939.

1938 Deluxe GRILLE CENTER
Adds cool detail to seats, door panels, dashes, fenders or even your toolbox. These flat-mount emblems add a super touch to any hot rod, boat or other V8 powered machine. Each pair is made of precision die-cast zinc with beautiful chrome plating.
The grille center is a continuation of the hood ornament/handle. The delicate appearance of this part is misleading as it is made of strong die-cast zinc. We then triple chrome- plate it before the blue paint is added to the background. We call this graceful piece “The Swan”. 81A-8157-B $395.00
