This Final Year Project is to create simulation of the Solar System and show the effects of gravity from the Sun, the various planets and their moons, acting on an object. The basic function of this program is for an asteroid to travel through the Solar System and then simulate how gravity affects its velocity, acceleration and position. Simulation is defined as the imitation or enactment, as of something anticipated or in testing. The project will use computer programming to simulate these effects, so that scientists can test to see what could happen, for example testing whether or not an asteroid could hit earth or if they wanted to see the possibilities of intercepting one for study. Test results can be saved and then loaded, so that users can compare results.
