AI Is Reshaping the Business Landscape — Are You Ready?
Adam Olson Graduate Program Director and Executive Educator
Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer a futuristic concept—it’s a present- day force transforming industries, economies, and the workforce. According to a recent PwC report analyzing nearly a billion job ads across six continents, workers with AI skills now command a 56% wage premium, up from 25% just one year ago. This dramatic increase signals a growing demand for AI fluency across many sectors. Business schools are also taking note. A report from AACSB reveals that 37% of institutions are actively investing in AI and generative AI (GenAI) initiatives, preparing future leaders to navigate and leverage these technologies. Here at the Sentry School, we are embracing this shift by incorporating AI literacy and applications into our courses and across our curriculum. We have also launched a series of graduate and professional development courses that cater to the demand for the strategic utility of AI technologies within organizations and across various industry domains. It is important to acknowledge that AI’s influence extends beyond the classroom and the boardroom. The World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs 2025 report highlights that economic pressures—like the rising cost of living and a general economic slowdown—are expected to transform nearly half of all businesses by 2030. These trends will displace an estimated 1.6 million jobs globally as advanced technologies take root.
